Your files stay yours
Local processing happens in your browser, with no media uploads.
Mark the start and end of a clip, add multiple cuts, arrange their order and merge them into one export. Adjust audio volume, speed and fades. Large media files need extra device memory.
Change audio and video formats, or extract audio from a video.
Audio/video files up to 500 MB. Processing runs on your device; files above 100 MB may need lots of memory, run slowly or freeze the tab, especially on phones. A desktop with more available memory is better suited to large files. Try a smaller file if processing fails.
Waveform shows the original. Play the exported preview to hear your edits.
Direct YouTube downloads are not connected. Download your own uploads in YouTube Studio, then choose Your file here.
Open YouTube Studio ↗Video edits export at 30 fps. Clips fit inside your chosen frame with black borders where needed. Videos without sound receive a silent track. Every clip must contain video for a video export.
Smaller exports trade quality for size. Results depend on the source; compare the actual sizes before downloading.
Mark a selection, then add it below. Make more cuts from this file, or choose another file above. Clips join end-to-end in the order shown, with each clip’s saved effects.
No clips added. Export above uses your current selection.
Up to 20 clips and 500 MB of source files in total. When clips are listed, Export merges only those clips; add your current selection first if you want it included.
Choose a file to get started. No account needed.
Use media you own or have permission to process. Audio/video and extra image formats load codecs on first use (~31 MB for FFmpeg, ~2 MB for HEIC). Files stay on your device.

Supported files can convert to any listed output in their category when their codec is readable. Video can also export its audio. This is not a promise to support every codec, protected file or damaged file. Media Editor currently exports edited video as MP4 or MOV. An extension alone does not guarantee compatibility. Some outputs need an external player to preview.

Export audio as MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, M4A, AAC, Opus, AIFF or WMA; video as MP4, WebM, MOV, MKV, AVI, MPEG, MPEG-TS or a short GIF. Input codec support varies. GIF exports use the first 15 seconds without sound. Image studio accepts HEIC/HEIF, AVIF, JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, TIFF, ICO, TGA, PPM/PGM/PBM/PAM/PNM, PCX, SGI, DPX, XBM, JPEG 2000 and self-contained SVG. It exports JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, BMP, TIFF, GIF, ICO, TGA, PPM, PGM, PBM, PAM, PCX, SGI, DPX, XBM, JPEG 2000 and SVG containing an embedded raster image. PNM is accepted as an input family; choose PPM, PGM, PBM or PAM for output. HEIC/HEIF are input-only. Camera RAW, layered project files and animated sequence preservation are not supported. Some source formats preview only after export. Use Document tools for text-based PDF/DOCX/TXT conversion, document compacting, images to PDF and ZIP creation. Spreadsheet conversion and presentation text tools are available in Document tools. Legacy DOC/PPT, RAW images and protected media are not supported.
No. Already compressed files can grow when re-encoded. Lower bitrates, smaller dimensions and lower quality often reduce size at the cost of detail. We show the actual size difference. WAV and FLAC aren’t offered in Size reducer.
Trim audio or video with timeline handles or precise times. Queue cuts from one or more files, reorder them and export one joined file. Export audio as MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG or M4A, or video as MP4 or MOV. Each clip saves trim, speed, fades, volume and loudness settings. Video clips are fitted to a common frame at 30 fps; silent video clips receive silence. All clips must contain video for video exports. The selection preview shows the original; exported previews include effects. This editor joins clips end-to-end, without overlapping tracks, crossfades or background-noise removal.
Local files are processed on your device, not uploaded. Audio/video tools use FFmpeg.wasm and can take time and memory. Keep this tab open. Images are limited to 100 MB and 40 million pixels; audio/video to 500 MB. Files above 100 MB can need substantially more memory than their file size and may fail or freeze the tab, especially on phones. The limit is an allowance, not a guarantee of successful processing.
